World ballet day 2016

World ballet day returns on Tuesday 4th of October 2016. This is for those who haven’t seen it before 24h of live streaming from 5 of the top ballet companies in the world: the Australian Ballet in Sydney, The Bolshoi in Moscow, The Royal Ballet in London, National Ballet of Canada in Toronto and San Franscico Ballet. All of these companies have invited a wide range of regional dance organizations geographically close to their location to be part of World Ballet Day LIVE. The following companies included are Hong Kong Ballet, Queensland Ballet, West Australian Ballet, English National Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Northern Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo and Nederlands Dans Theater.

During this live streaming you can see some notators live and in action! Gary Harris, guest international Benesh notator, will be rehearsing MacMillan’s  ballet “Anastasia” at 12.15 & 14.45 and Lorraine Gregory, junior Notator with The Royal Ballet, is notating and assisting with Charlotte Edmonds new creation at 1.45pm.
